Why the worm farm?
Why we started Albion Worm Farm
The inefficiency in how organic waste is handled is exactly why we founded Albion Worm Farm in Albion, Idaho. There is a huge environmental benefit when we step in and improve how organic matter is processed. At the same time, we want to give urban gardeners and home growers access to a diverse, microbe-rich soil amendment.
We raise red wiggler worms (Eisenia fetida) and carefully manage compost to produce pure worm castings. These castings are packed with beneficial microbes that help unlock nutrients already in the soil, improve structure, and support stronger plant growth.
Whether you came here to learn about nature’s cleanup crew, to buy a sustainable soil amendment, or simply to support a small family farm, we’re glad you’re here.
