At Albion Worm Farm, we ship live composting worms and soil products with care to ensure they arrive healthy and ready to work.

Live Worm Shipping

Because worms are living organisms, we follow strict shipping guidelines:

  • Orders ship Monday and Tuesday only to avoid weekend delays
  • Most orders arrive within 2–3 business days
  • We use breathable packaging, insulation, and seasonal protection

You will receive tracking information as soon as your order ships. Please check your email to monitor your delivery.

Delivery Expectations

Please plan to receive your package promptly:

  • Do not leave packages in direct sun or extreme temperatures
  • Request a hold at your post office or be home to receive delivery
  • Bring worms indoors as soon as possible after arrival
  • Open and inspect your shipment immediately

To qualify for our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee:

  • Request a hold at your post office or be home to receive delivery
  • Inspect your worms immediately upon arrival
  • Contact us within 2 hours of delivery
  • Include clear photos of the packaging and worms

We will replace or refund your order as appropriate.

Packaging

Each order is carefully hand-packed on our family farm using breathable cotton bags and durable, clearly marked “LIVE WORMS” boxes. We include their natural bedding to maintain comfort and stability during transit.

It is normal for worms to appear slightly sluggish upon arrival due to travel. Once placed in a proper environment, they typically recover quickly and begin working right away.

Weather & Shipping Delays

We may delay shipments during extreme heat or cold to protect your worms. If this occurs, we will notify you.

Shipping Areas

We currently ship within the continental United States.

Other Products

Non-living products (such as worm castings) ship throughout the week and are not subject to the same restrictions.
