Plants hire a crew.
A plant can’t walk over to the phosphorus it needs. So it leaks sugars through its roots — a paycheck — and beneficial microbes take the job. They mine minerals, fight off trouble, and ferry water. This is not a metaphor a scientist made up for a brochure. It is how soil works.

Castings are the hiring packet.
A handful of worm castings is a dense city of those microbes, plus the stable organic matter they live in. You are not dumping N-P-K numbers on a bed. You are introducing a workforce that unlocks nutrients already in the soil — including the ones last year’s fertilizer left locked up.

Worms keep the city running.
Red wigglers (Eisenia fetida) eat compost we manage on the farm — leaves, manure, kitchen scraps, the stuff that should never see a landfill. What they leave behind is crumby, dark, and biologically loud. That’s the bag.

You do less. The soil does more.
Living soil holds water. It feeds slowly. It doesn’t burn roots. Season after season, the bed needs less babying — fewer bags, fewer yellow leaves, fewer mid-July panics. That is the whole promise.
What we don’t put on the bag
No guaranteed analysis that reads like a big-ag spec sheet. No “contains beneficial microorganisms” in 8-point type. If a product needs a chemistry set to explain itself, it is probably not what your tomatoes asked for.
